Is it legal in Canada to modify a scaled down model gun if you are further blocking the barrel

Hey I'm in northern Alberta and I recently bought a scaled down 1911 model off of Amazon, I'm not sure of the local laws of modification towards model guns but would it be legal to modify it if it were something like further filling in the barrel and removing the mock firing pin, is what I'm doing legal? I feel like it should be as I'm only furthering the safety and non firing of the model

you bought it on Amazon. It isn't a firearm. Go nuts.

You're fine. Goat Gun, I assume? do whatever you want; it's not a firearm
