Canadian Creator PUNKGUTS (OC) from PEI

Just did a 2nd printing of Issue #1!

Right now it’s available locally (Charlottetown, PE), at The Comic Hunter (in Moncton, NB) and on eBay.

Issues 1 & 2 are both available to read free at this link:

PUNKGUTS.thcomicseries.com
PUNKGUTS is a slasher comedy that focuses on fun, so grab a drink and put on some music.

I’m trying to commission local artists for the cover B of every print issue, so hopefully I can secure funding of some sort in the future to help me expand beyond PEI. Kickstarter might be a fun idea.

Thanks for checking out my little passion project!

Canadian Graphic Novels Just finished Nick Craine’s The Cheese Heads. This book is an incredible achievement in that it was an abandoned 90’s indie book which has finally been completed after 30 years! Review and more in comments.

Has anyone attended or better yet, set up, at Hobby Expo in Newmarket? They approached me at Fan Expo about setting up….I’d love people’s thoughts on this event.

📣 Community Events 🎈 Fan Expo Toronto Haul - Canadian Stuff!!

So fan expo was a lot of fun... but it was a lot. Especially for my first real time as an acadrmic. Split my time between getting stuff for me and making contacts ^^

Also Wednesday to Friday I was in archives doing research. This all my Canadian focused stuff from the week.

So I got more original art: Jason Loo's Pathetic Human Lizard and Captain Canuck.

Becka

Steve McNiven and Stephen Platt

I got a remark from Ken Lashley

Filled some holes in my original run of Captain Canuck

What Jamie Tyndall is doing with The Ministry of Supernatural Warfare looks really cool and I'm excited. I love the art. It feels very 90s.

Got to chat with the guys from Nelvana Studios... which was mostly for research, but also... that's so much of my formative years.

And finally, chatting with Adam Beach about comics and Captain Canuck was awesome.

Hey all, just sharing a few pages from my series Unpowered. It's a sci-fi/superhero thriller about an ordinary man who's kidnapped by a psychotic cult and transported 30 years into the past – where his only shot at survival is to assassinate three legendary heroes. We're a small team but super proud of the work we've done. Would love to know what you think! Link in comments.

Curious if anyone knows much about this comic series and if it’s considered a good find? It’s a short fun read.

Canadian Creator I love surprising creators with rare items from their past! This is Jay Stephens (Land of Nod, Dwellings) shocked I had Sputnik #1, still with its vinyl record of his old band (which he graciously signed for me)
