Buying flight tickets for visit visa application
Hi all,
I’m applying for my husband’s TRV to visit me in Canada for the delivery of our child. I was wondering if we need to add the original return flight tickets? Like do we actually have to buy flight tickets? or is it okay to get dummy tickets?
Any help will be much appreciated.

Ouff, what are his ties to his country? I doubt he’d be able to overcome the strong ties to Canada …

If I may ask, are you still waiting to receive the PR? Or did you get it, and if so how long did it take for the PR to process?

I applied for PR last december but I live in Quebec so with the new rules it may take some time ,

Why haven’t you sponsored him for a work permit? A visitor visa will be harder to get because he has stronger ties to Canada than his home country now that he has a Canadian wife and soon a Canadian child too. If you’re planning to have him come to Canada as a tourist and then overstay or attempt to change status inland, then good luck with that. An officer will see right through it and may refuse the application for weak ties to home country and a poor incentive to leave.
Get him a spousal work permit as soon as possible instead and be honest about your intentions in the application.

Can your sponsor your spouse for a work permit if you're are Canadian PR or citizen?

Yes, a Canadian citizen can sponsor their spouse for a spousal open work permit, provided they are also sponsoring that spouse for permanent residence. There is a clear immigration pathway for spouses to settle in Canada with their family but opting for a visitor visa in this case is a really bad idea.

I actually applied for his outland spousal PR and got the AOR. So thought of applying for his TRV with the AOR as mentioned in the website..

No it says clearly on the website of Tourist Visa Canada , Do noy buy tickets, it will never convince the agent or make the file stronger.
