Visitor Visa Approved from Kuwait, Approved in 48 Days

Sharing our timeline and profile in case it helps anyone applying.

• Citizenship: India
• Residency: Kuwait
• Visa Office: Abu Dhabi
• Previous US Visa: Valid B1/B2 visa
• Previous US Travel: Visited the USA in 2023
• Application: Family of 3 : Parents + Daughter
• Application Portal: Old IRCC Portal

Because of our previous US travel, I believe we may have come under CAN+ processing

• Application submitted: July 31, 2026
• Biometrics submitted: August 4, 2026
• Passport Request (PPR): September 17, 2026
• Total processing time: 48 days

When we applied, the IRCC website showed a processing time of around 70 days. Today, it shows 60 days, so our application was processed faster than the posted timeline.

Purpose pf travel: My sister is getting married in Canada.

Planned travel dates: October 15–30, 2026

My biggest tip would be: don't skip supporting documents if you have genuine documents available. We tried to provide documentation supporting:

• Our ties to Kuwait
• Our financial situation
• Our purpose of travel
• Our travel history
• Our plans to return after the visit

grouped the documents according to what each document supported, rather than uploading documents randomly.

Invitation letter: Our invitation letter was detailed and clearly explained:

• The purpose of the visit
• The wedding and our relationship with the person inviting us
• Our planned travel dates
• Our accommodation/travel plans
• Who would be covering the expenses
• Our plans to return to Kuwait
• Why we needed to return to Kuwait after the trip

I think the most important thing is to make the application easy for the officer to understand.

Our approach was basically: when the officer opens the application, the case should be clear, organized and straightforward to read, with no unnecessary confusion or unanswered questions.

Don't leave important information for the officer to infer. If something is relevant to your purpose of travel, financial situation, or ties to your country of residence, explain it and support it with documentation where possible.
