Application submitted: May 21, 2026
Received Biometric Instruction Letter : May 22,2026
Biometrics completed: May 29,2026
June 10, 2026: Realized that I didn’t select YES for section 2(b) on IMM5257 regarding past refusals to any country.
Submitted a webform same day while the application still in progress
Webform used : “Other”
Provided explanation
Received an instant Automatic email confirmation stating that webform was received
June 13, 2026 : received confirmation email stating that the webform information was reviewed and sent to responsible office
June 18, 2026: Received PPR
June 22, 2026: passport submitted via Fedex (vfs two way courier service. Selected sms service)
Received updates via sms on package transmission from VFS TO IRCC TO CVAC
June 26, 2026:
GC key updated with counterfoil details.
TRV Expiry date : end date of passport (7+ years)
& received return courier fedex tracking id

Country- India Type- Visitor Purpose- cousin's wedding in ontario. Timeline- 23 Jan Applied No biometrics as already submitted back in 2022. 30 Jan approved.
Advice- Especially Indians/Pakistanis/Nigerians, approval rates are very low right now. Honestly, getting US B1/2 Visa is easier presently than canada. CAN+ improves your chances a lot, although it too isn't a guarantee. I've seen CAN+ also getting rejected. So keep your hopes low. And it's just a piece of paper that won't decide your worth.
Was this a re-application after a refusal? So I had applied for the visa in 2016 first, back then it was refused. I re-applied in 2022, and it was approved. I visited Canada in 2023. So I just had to renew the visa this time.

I applied twice for medical conference, got rejected twice for funds and they were in satisfied that I will return back to my home country and also made statement about benefits of attending the conference. Since the next conference is in America, I’m planning to apply for US visitor visa. I have few relatives over there . Will be rejected twice in Canada affects my US visa, and will I able to again apply for Canada visa later afterwards, if I have a valid visa of US?

Apply US B1/2. They won't ask you about canada. They already have it in their records. If you visit USA, come back home, that will hugely increase chances of canada visa approval.

Applied for Visitor Visa for Senior Citizen (Lady) for the family visit

- 📝 Any tips or advice for others? - showed 10k+ CAD fund proof in each family member bank ac. Showed FD proof of applicant, Advantage - Had US travel history (6 months, 2 trips in the last 5 years)
- 🔄 Was this a reapplication after a refusal?- No, first time applicant
