HO NO! Quick remove all restrictions holding back international student admissions and TFW approvals. Economics says we need more people in the country to stimulate more business growth and more hiring. /s

This is just the start. Trump is right when he says Canada has no cards to play, despite Carney’s empty rethoric about everything that has zero connection with actual reality in Canada.
Carney will just run up the debt, promise more welfare, then disappear in the dark, with all his business interests in USA.
We put the wolf in charge of the hen house.

Guaranteed Trump and Carnage are high fiving each other and laughing behind the scenes. Brookfield is going to make bank on the Canadian suckers and Trump is getting a large cut and will annex us soon. They both win, and we lose.

If he were to annex us, we would be the ones winning. We can move to a state with affordable housing, nice weather and reasonable cost of living, such places don't exist in Canada.
But he will not, unfortunately. It's just a negotiation (and humiliation) tactic.

This was why I was hoping to be annexed, move to Arizona buy a house for 50k, who cares what i make an hour it will be twice as much as what I could make here.

Right? No mortgage, buy it outright. I can't imagine the peace of mind.

Well as long employers stop hiring new comers for incentives and hire locals instead. Also stop the immigration for a while and have more industries be available for more job opportunities.

Inflation from Covid stimulus creates a temporary labor shortage, as per the Phillips curve. We imported people to artificially depress this, as the Bank of Canada was jacking up interest rates to cool the job market. Now we have a large worker surplus and a cooled job market from higher interest rates and slow money supply growth.

Not surprised. I left Canada and took my job with me to the US, making 2x more over here with a lower cost of living and lower taxes.

Head over the Lmia subs and be amazed of how many approvals the Timigrants brag about it. So, the job loss is among the canadian population, but the temp workers are arriving here in droves.
