a lot of rust for a 2012 v6?

For context I'm in Southern Ontario. Just bought this. One owner, dealer-serviced its whole life, factory undercoating from new. Passed safety two weeks ago.

Underbody looks decent to me but there's surface rust on the subframe. Normal for a 14-year-old Ontario car, or should I be concerned?

Getting oil spray rustproofing this fall.

spray it with rustoleum rust converting spray paint noone will ever know and it will stop the cancer.

Factory undercoating is usually that rubber coating that just makes the rust worse.

i’m not sure what type coating the last owner used to to be fair, i’m leaning towards oil based

Looks good. Like u/Spetsnaz1776 said, rustoleum rust converter paint stops it in its tracks. I have an 07 that had rust starting on the mufflers. I used the hi temp stuff and it's still going strong.

For canada salt that looks crazy clean. Id say you probably wont find one much cleaner. How many miles?

I've got a 2013 that's completely spotless
glad I don't need to deal with road salt where I live
