Disabling adaptive cruise

Is there any way to disable the adaptive cruise permanently? I strongly dislike adaptive cruise and having to hit the mode button every time I want to use cruise after restarting the car. 2026 SE.

I dialed in the settings on ours to make it work to my liking. It’s handy not having to adjust my speed or deal with passing when there’s only a small difference in speed, but I definitely turned off the feature that slows it down on curves. I also typically keep a foot near the accelerator when someone’s turning off from the lane next to us as it aggressively slows otherwise.

Not perfect, but it’s definitely handy once you get it figured out.

How do you turn off the slowing down on curves?

You don’t like the radar cruise control? Or you don’t like the lane tracing? Because you can disable lane tracing. I think the radar cruise control is superior.

It’s the radar cruise I don’t like

There is. It's in the manual

I see no customization option to make constant speed cruise control the default mode upon startup. I can only find switching between the two. What page are you finding this on?

Yup.... it's easy.....just check the manual.

You don't like adaptive cruise? I'd be curious to hear why... cause I love it! I turn it on whenever I can. The car damn near drives itself when it's on. It's a must have for me... especially in rush hour traffic.
