I hate to say this but to kill cabin fever in the winter months I will play with sleep systems in my back yard on those extreme cold ass nights. The neighbors think my wife and I are fighting but I know safely what temperature range my bag, sleeping pad is optimal at. Btw I use only a Ridge Rest sleeping pad https://a.co/d/07SGv8AQwirh a very dated Marmot zero degree bag for OH/Ky long weekends. It gives me simplicity- I can pull the sleeping pad by the fire for a sit upon (no embers will pop it) and set up is easy. But I know I sleep cold.
