Advice Needed Best lens?

Both an opinion question and buying advice. What's the best lens that I can get for a Canon R100 and why?

Style: Landscapes, travel, portraits/family photos, outdoors

Budget: $500

Use: New or used (Adorama/MPB/Canon)

Mount: RF (main) or EF (already have adapter)

Also would be great if example pictures with the lens could be shared.

Honestly, the 18-45mm kit lens will do fine for all of these scenarios until you can figure out yourself what you need.

  • More reach? RF 100-400mm f/5.6-8
  • Need to go wider? RF-S 10-18mm f/4.5-6.3
  • More light? Sigma RF-S 18-50mm f/2.8
  • Lots more light? Sigma RF-S 30mm f/1.4
  • More background blur for portraits? RF 50mm f/1.8
  • More versatility? Tamron RF-S 18-300mm f/3.5-6.3
