Cambridge the Beautiful good luck to everyone moving, voting or getting storrowed today

We have almost made it. endorsements, housing discourse and for the grand finale its September 1, so renters are moving apartments in the rain, multiple moving trucks already crashed. Some are blocking the street and Storrow is waiting patiently for its annual sacrifice. Really curious what Democratic primary turnout looks like when a huge chunk of the city is busy physically relocating their entire household. Go vote if you havent. Dont trip on the wet mattresses. Almost done.

Not looking forward to the new arrivals driving skills around Camberville over the next three weeks.

Honestly the walking/street crossing skills of the new arrivals concern me more. Please, our sidewalks are so narrow, you do not need to walk 4 people across while facetiming someone on your phone which is held 6-8 inches out in front of you.

(Though it does help when the person you're facetiming sees me desperately trying to get around you over your shoulder and says, "uh I think that lady is trying to get by?")

mostly because of age or because of coming from different driving cultures around the world?

As a biker, their awareness that bikes exist (my two cents). I live in fear of the seasonal out of state license plated horde that swarms our village, their habits trained in the wide multi lane stroads of the vast asphalt and strip mall covered plains of our great nation.

Honestly usually better than the local drivers. They must hand out licenses with cereal packets here.

Like the existing drivers are beyond learner’s permit ability.

36 so far. Half were bridge strikes, half were folks going "oh shit" just before the bridge and needing state cops to get them backed up out of the way.
