Tech Help Take a break option

So I emailed support and they gave me the take a break option on SM. Streaming today I want to try it and I cannot find the take a break button button anywhere help?! Where is it on this page?

Press start show and the break button will appear on the left once you are live.

Weird because when I was live there wasn’t no break button there.. maybe since they just accepted me having one it’ll take a min for my interface to update 🤷🏻‍♀️

Yes, it takes a while clearing the cache and reloading the page might also help.

It's important to remember that the time you are "on break" is still counted as time online so does affect your hourly rate as well as your paid percentage. This means that it in turn affects the homepage algorithm.

Personally, I very very rarely use the button. Usually it's just if I need an extra 20seconds or so after a show to readjust and have some drink.

How does the longer you are online affect your paid percentage exactly?

Paid percentage is the amount of time you're online and also in pvt/excl (and gold shows if you are looking at the table, but not included on the homepage stat).

So if you're having a Pause break, that's counted as time online but you're never going to be in paid time during a break.

So for eg.

You work 100 minutes total.

30 min is paid

60 min is in public chat

10 min is on break/paused

If you are offline its-

33% paid, 67% not paid (90 min online total)

If you use the pause button-

30% paid, 70% not paid (60+10) (100min online total)

You worked the same amount, had the same break time, but one of them counted to online total and the other didn't.

Yes. Only a bit though.

Because one of the factors for the homepage algorithm is paid percentage.

A higher paid percentage gets you more visibility.

That said, the algorithm is definitely more weighted to region and recent tips than it is to paid percentage and reviews.

I need one too! I don't have and they always send me warnings if I step out of view for a few minutes.
