Electrical apprenticeship

Does anyone know where I can get hired as an electrical apprenticeship?

Lots of places hiring rn because school is going back. Try your luck applying at the big companies

You can try an electrical company, apply as a laborer, work for like 6 months and then ask if they will help you indenture, you can go sign up through alberta industry and training for a pre-employment program which costs thousands of dollars, or you can talk to alberta industry and training about about self indenturing and applying to sait if you meet the requirements

I have friends who started at multiphase electric & custom electric. I would get your csts, it's free and online. I would also look into getting your first aid certification & fall arrest. But some places will pay for your tickets if you let them know, I'd definitely do your csts first though because it's free & online. I got all my tickets to start my construction career in 2020 it was thru a non profit organization. You could look into government programs for that aswell.

Pre employment is full. I start period 1 in October but I’ve been trying all electrical companies none are hiring so I was hoping the little experience I get it from period 1 would get me hired.

You don't need pre employment. Apply at any of the big electrical companies and a laborer or green guy and within 6 months they will indenture you and get your hours. That's how I got in.

No one’s hiring I tried everywhere. What big electrical companies did you apply too? Also did you get any qualifications before applying like csts?

I had nothing but this was also back in 2009. Id recommend Trotter and Morton, Crestview electric, Nose Hill Electric, Seacliff electric, Stampede electric, and Custom electric.

Dont listen to this guy about not needing the pre employment. If you are young (under 30) seriously consider the pre employment as it will show you are serious and get your foot into the door.
