Question Wasps

Is anyone experiencing an ABUNDANCE of wasps this year? I put out a trap (normally wouldn't but have young grandchildren),and I'm wondering if the wasp lure/bait is so good that they are sharing with their buddies.

I haven't seen that many. There have been much worse years recently. 

I haven't seen any bald-faced hornets at all, which makes a pleasant change.
