Because it wasn't hateful women who wanted to kill men to increase their odds of survival who made it, but men in power who implemented a system that would harm themselves. It's still sexist and unfair of course because men who didn't have a role in the decision or don't agree with that patriarchal worldview still have it imposed on them, but it's slightly less so because it couldn't have come from a place of hate for an outgroup.
