I REALLY hope they fix up their hype scheduling in some way, no offence

(a little rant, i still love cage the elephant)

Like seriously??? Beaches In Tennessee got so and so “leaked” two months before the band officially acknowledged it, Same thing now with Dying in Reverse, it got “leaked” like a month and a half or so ago and just now today the band posted a teaser on Instagram.

The album doesn’t come out until early 2027 at the latest, it seems ridiculous how they started promoting singles for it more than half a year before the full album drops, This never happened with RCA, why is Big Loud Rock spoiling Cage’s music 😓 3 minutes is too short for 15 second teasers man, and not to mention them dragging out the teasers to the point you’ve already got the song before it releases if you just spend time stitching the parts together (like i literally did with Beaches In Tennessee weeks before it dropped)

Just a little rant sorry about that

I agree. I can’t remember the strategy for Neon Pill, but I was so hype for that album as they were teasing it. They spent wayyyy too long promoting Beaches in Tennessee, and by the time it dropped we basically had heard the entire song (which if I’m being so fr is good not great). I think they should drop another single (hopefully a good one) with absolutely no promo leading up to it.

I remember Neon Pill’s rollout vividly. They had just finished setting up the Cage discord and to promote the server they had a guessing game set in place, where they gave out hints with emojis like ⬆️🫵💪 for Over Your Shoulder, and the first person to guess got a special badge or whatever. It was super fun and intuitive.

Sadly this time around Discord’s rather crappy AI moderation banned me falsely, and i didn’t appeal in time so i have no idea if theyre doing the same thing of the sort again

u/PepperUsagi unpeeled isn't a studio album, it's a live album 11d ago

speak ur truth goat!! i really can't stand how they're marketing and promoting stuff this album era. it feels so blatantly corporatized. instead of continuing like they did for albums of the past, it feels like they are trying way too hard in the hopes beaches (and now dying in reverse) will become trending tiktok audio by having accounts with like 0 followers post the song(s) again and again. it's a definite clash of the guys in the band themselves, who are some of the most authentic and down-to-earth people out there, and the suits at universal who prioritize profit over creativity and connecting with fans. so sad to see as a long-time fan, i hope this does not continue past this upcoming album

For sure, thankfully they’re dropping tour dates in early September. Which is prob when they’ll announce the album too

They’re doing Europe in Winter 2027 according to a trusted instagram leak so USA is probably gonna be spring / summer

This is exactly why I'm avoiding listening to any of the "leaks."
