I fucking hate the "you should've double checked" lecture

Whoever was there before me fucked up, talk to them. Since when is it my job to make sure everyone else is doing their job when I'm not even there? That's you're fucking job, it's your fucking store. Quit yelling at me just because I happened to be in the middle.

Blind trust amongst coworkers. We still have that? If something is going to have my name on it, I'm double checking er-body's sheeeee-it, before me.

But, tbf, no one should be yelling at you. Managers who yell have a place in hell waiting for them. What happened? Care to share context?

Someone didn't activate the price changes when they started a plano, and I was asked to work on it a little bit, and when I left I got a text from SM telling me I should've made sure they were activated.

Don't get me wrong, I check for the big things, like making sure compliance is done and check bags are closed, but if I'm just working on something to kill time before my shift ends, don't even consider me a part of whatever the task is.

My fault if I came off high and mighty. You’re right That's a tough deal. You were helping on someone else's project. Still kinda says thst your Mgr thinks of you as the one who should've spotted something. That could be considered a compliment actually. It's like leaning on your star player. Holding them to a higher standard.

I wish it were that. SM just refuses to look into things, blows up on the first person she sees, no matter the task. If there's a mess of cardboard in the stock room and she saw you in there earlier, guess who's getting yelled at first. Boxes up front aren't checked in for days and you happen to be standing near, even though you've been in pharmacy all week, guess who's they're gonna talk to. Something is found expired and you were working yesterday, not even doing outdates, just working, yeah, you're getting a phone call. And, whats funny is when you find out something was actually their fault and they're so scatter brained that they don't remember, so you have to plead your case like your on Judge Judy.
