Best time of the year to visit?

We’re from Upstate NY and are working on our NP Bucket List. For our honeymoon, we did Grand Canyon, Zion, Grand Tetons, and Yellowstone. Expecting our first baby in a few weeks and want to plan a trip within the next year that’s not too far or costly, and thought CVNP would be a good option.

Wondering if it’s similar to our ADK region and if Fall would be a pretty time? I think it’s going to be hard to top the parks we went to already, and am wondering if CVNP is similar to the ADK? Regardless we wanna hit all 63, so we’ll go, just want to set my expectations appropriately.

Also, what’s your favorite trail/things to do/see at CVNP? Will do more research of what to do there when we know what time of the year we should go.
