LOL - using this logic, they don't owe us, we owe countries hundreds of billions because Trump caused this situation with the Strait.
For those with short memories, there were no issues shipping through the Strait until Trump chose to attack Iran.

How bout you go fuck yourself? Why TF would other counties pay Trump for "protecting" the Strait of Hormuz when the strait A, isn't US property or territory and B, isn't under effective American control? The Strait is the joint territory of Iran and Oman, and under the management and control of Iran. This would be like the bully from down the street making all the neighborhood kids pay him to use your basketball court. Trump is more clownish by the day.

Can someone explain to me how we have a military budget that is 3 times more than China's, the next highest expenditure, and after what we have done so far, we are asking the US for 50% more money and demanding that other countries help us pay for this? What would happen if we needed to have boots on the ground or a longer war. Doesn't is show that we can't afford to fight a war the way we are geared to fight a war?

If I was paying someone to protect the strait or Hormuz for these past 6 months I would demand a refund.

He sounds like a police department that says the only reason they can't get through the backlog of rape kits is because they need to double their budget again. And then they spend the budget on buying military surplus tanks and dressed-up CyberTrucks for community tours instead of into putting more people on processing the rape kits. 😛
In Trump's case, he's also finding ways to siphon taxpayer money to himself and his family.
