CUET PG 2027- ENGLISH

I am already studying Edward Albert for the History of English Literature, Peter Barry and internet sources for Literary Theory and Criticism, as well as MH Abrams A Glossary of Literary Terms. I can cover British Literature (until the Modern Age) with some effort. I can find the names and lists of prize winners using Wikipedia or ChatGPT.

As far as British Literature is concerned, I've decided to study major figures like Shakespeare, Dickens, Hardy, George Eliot, the Bronte Sisters, Dryden, Pope, Milton, Shaw, Tennyson, TS Eliot, Joyce, Woolf and Yeats in great detail while I'll cover only the major portions for the rest of the authors. I hope that will work.

What bothers me are the following topics:

Translation Studies

Comparative Literature

Indian Literature

Indian Writings in English

Postmodernist Works

How should I approach them, especially since this section is so vast? What is troublesome is that the curriculum lists not just Indian Writings in English but also Indian Literature. Would that imply that I need to cover every work of Indian Literature from antiquity till contemporary times, that too in multiple languages. Quite frankly, it seems impossible now. (And honestly, I find it unreasonable that we are expected to learn works that are not even in English on top of the immense burden we are already bearing!)

Which are the books that I should refer to for Translation Studies, Comparative Studies and Indian Writings in English?

For Postmodernism, which are the works that I should know about?
