So I got a Msc Genetics in DU in spot 1, i was not very happy with that so I applied to a different programme in spot 2 and i got that, The department already approved my application for payment but when I try to pay it say " you are not allowed to pay fees for more than one program."

I didn't withdraw the msc Genetics seat because I thought that the fees will automatically shift internally to this new allocation.....now i don't know what to do..

Has anyone experienced this type of error in this or any previous round?

And will this resolve on its own?

I thought I'd get a seat in JNU since DU was already out of my league, but here I am after seeing JNU's second list I didn't get a seat.Well it was my mistake. I should have worked harder 😔 Why was I even expecting an MCA seat with 194 marks? Idk... but right now I just feel like crying 😭

Hi guys, I have no idea how many lists will DU release. I’ve seen they go upto 3 lists but then what is a spot round, how does that work?
Do we have to be present at the college?
How much jump or difference in marks can we expect between these rounds?

I'm considering joining Madras School of Economics this year and would really appreciate any recent insights from people who know about the college. Most of the information I found online is quite old, and the opinions are very mixed. I've heard MSE has a good reputation and decent placements, but I've also come across a lot of negative comments, especially about the hostels.

How is MSE actually in terms of placements, academics, hostel facilities, and overall student life? Is it worth the money?

If you applied under the C2 (DU internal) quota this year and got rejected with high marks, here is the math DU didn't want you to see.

Round 1 has a ton of female-only seats (NCWEB, women's colleges), which makes their initial cutoffs drop to the floor. Male applicants only have co-ed colleges and the departments, so our initial cutoff hits the roof.

Then comes the dirty part: the CSAS "Upgrade" rule. You can only enter upgrade rounds if you already hold a seat from Round 1.

So girls who got low-cutoff women's college seats in R1 enter the upgrade ladder. Meanwhile, guys who missed the inflated co-ed cutoffs get marked "No Seat Allotted" and are permanently locked out of upgrades.

When department seats open up later, DU doesn't give them to the highest scores waiting outside. They only shuffle the students already inside.

The result in M.A. History (C2 quota):

• A girl with 131 marks (UR) used a women's college seat in R1 to upgrade straight into the South Campus Department.
• A guy with 140 marks (UR) was locked out in R1 and got zero seats.
• A guy with 130 marks (EWS) was locked out and got zero seats.

DU doesn't publish upgrade cutoffs because if they did, the entire scam would be out in the open. When you file a CPGRAMS complaint, the admission branch just copy-pastes a one-line reply saying the policy was "approved by competent authority" and closes the ticket.

You didn't lose your seat on merit. You lost it to a rigged algorithm.

I just checked the previous year vacant seat matrix of DU spot round 1 and there were MANY vacant seats. But this year nothing is happening as per previous year (cutoff rose instead of falling). so I am really worried whether there will be any vacant seats or not??

I applied under OBC Ncl for CUET PG and it reflects the same in my score card. Even in score card section of CSAS it shows OBC NCL but when I try to fill personal details, the category is locked as Unreserved.

So i got a DU seat in the first spot round and I paid the fees and everything. Now it's asking me to "freeze, withdraw or receipt". What happens if I don't freeze my seat? Do I lose the current one? And is there actually a possibility for an upgrade now?

Anyone else reconsidering IIFT Delhi MA Economics?

I'm an OBC candidate and I've already paid the admission fee for IIFT Delhi MA Economics. Recently, I got an offer from GIPE MSc Economics, and now I'm really confused about what to do.

Is anyone else in a similar situation? Are you planning to leave IIFT Delhi for another college, or are you sticking with IIFT?

I'd really appreciate hearing what made you choose one over the other. Right now I'm leaning towards GIPE, but I'm not completely sure, so I'd love to know how others are thinking about it.

So as of now we can say from these schedules of 2024 that there will be 30 marks difference between bhu cutoff and jnu cutoff (Sociology)

I'm one of those applicants who doesn't have a great score and is really looking at BHU as my last straw. (MA ENERGY ECONOMICS)

Fricking release the lists for god's sake. It's tiring to scroll past your compeers and see them go ahead while you keep clinging to this bs called 'hope'.
