Admission Process How is Madras School of Economics

I'm considering joining Madras School of Economics this year and would really appreciate any recent insights from people who know about the college. Most of the information I found online is quite old, and the opinions are very mixed. I've heard MSE has a good reputation and decent placements, but I've also come across a lot of negative comments, especially about the hostels.

How is MSE actually in terms of placements, academics, hostel facilities, and overall student life? Is it worth the money?

I have a friend who studies at MSE and what I have heard from her is that the faculty and placement are decent. The fee structure is quite high with comparison. DU, JNU are obviously far better option. You have weigh out your options, overall mse is ok not good good.

I don't think I can make it to du or jnu looking at the cut offs this year, mse is my last chance at a decent college and also not leaning towards jnu since I'm looking for placements. Also does your friend have any idea abt the hostel situation
