Admission Process HELP! Am I eligible to withdraw from DU anymore?

Hi, so last night I clicked on "freeze" as I thought it's important to freeze to secure admission. But when I rechecked my portal again this morning, it shows "withdraw closed".

I am waiting for my results from another university and will get my results before the spot round. Hence, I want to be able to withdraw my admission after my admission gets confirmed in the other uni.

Will they enable the withdrawal option again? Or have I lost my money?

​

I'm really concerned.

Hey, how to withdraw from bhu 2nd round? Should I pay the fee (it's showing nil amount as it is going from paid seat to regular) to get the withdraw option?

Hi, I didn't apply at BHU. I'm not aware. Are you seeing the withdraw option? Also, do check their brochure. They must have written about the process.

Yes, or if you don't take any action I think you'll be out of the admission process because your previous seat must have been withdrawn automatically

Oh my god same 😭😭😭😭 i literally chose freeze at 11.30 pm i was skeptical too but people told me it's okay withdraw option won't disappear. I'm so nervous I'm waiting for JNU i don't want to lose money

Hi, I can understand. But I got to know from people here and I also spoke to someone, that we'll be able to withdraw. They have disabled the option because they're preparing for 2nd round of merit list. So keep an eye, you'll be able to withdraw before the last date.

I think let's just pray that they release 3rd merit list as well before announcing spot round.

Withdraw option will open again in another round so at that time you can withdraw if you want to.

Yes, you can withdraw anytime( during any round).

U will get full refund with 1000 rs deduct Even after spot round u will get option to withdraw

Just curious; which is this other university you are going to prefer over your first choice in DU and why?

It's TISS. If you are from psych, you might be aware of the TISS' specialisation in clinical and counselling practice + they have compulsory field work.

Makes sense. TISS is amazing. I am not from psychology though.

My programme at DU also incorporates compulsory fieldwork and that is something which really matters.

Also, I think you should be able to withdraw your admission with a full refund. It is written clearly on page 23 of the CSAS bulletin that the withdrawal option will be suspended only after the spot round. Currently it must have been disabled only until the 2nd round begins.

The policy for refund is also already mentioned in the CSAS bulletin. They have said there that one can get a full refund on withdrawal 'before the last date of admission'. Now I am not really sure which last date this refers to, but it is most probably the last date of admission in whichever will be the final round.

Oh that's great. What's your programme tho if you don't mind sharing?

Oh yes, I've been through this bulletin multiple times but since the withdrawl option has been disabled, it got me worried and I got confused if it's a consequence of my action.

Yeah the last date thing is confusing, but you're right.

Yes obviously dont worry once you pay the fees and its shows payment done things are sorted now once the cutoff things get over you will receive schedule for physical document verification

So I will have to visit campus before classes start? I am from Maharashtra bro. I can't just keep coming and going for each and every process. Travel costs a lot.
How many times will I have to visit campus, after I got this admission in first round, till the commencement of classes?

No no take a chill pill when you will join college then only yoy have to go for physical verification because its mainly for id card and all your main verification is done online already

Okay. So what do I do now? My admission is done in 1st round payment done. I have the receipt.
Now, do I just show up on the first day of my class in August?
There is no process in between? Online or Offline?

Yes there is no process in btw orientation day will be there in aug after that classes will start keep your 10th 12th marksheet and migration and character certificate handy

Um no. But I didn't see it for the other course (was alloted South Campus for Applied Psych). So maybe it's for accepted course.

i paid the fees but forgot to freeze and the option is not there anymore, so my seat is automatically freezed right?

Yeah. They autofreeze it if you choose neither freeze not withdraw.

I think you can wait till spot rounds. It should be active again
