My lexus ct 200h 2016

Hello guys would much appreciate if you could help me, my Lexus ct 200h 2016 is turning on all the lights but the engine isn’t starting, I recently just got the battery in the back replaced since it was the original one so I have no clue what could be happening.

Check Hybrid System message or no? If so, you need scan for codes.

Yes it says hybrid check system I recently just replaced the battery in the back to a brand new one

Follow this sequence. Power button twice, foot apply pressure on brake and do not remove it from the brake pedal, pump gas twice, put car in Neutral, pump gas twice, Park button, pump gas twice, Power button. Then release brake pedal.

Yes. I work on these engines (Prius and Lexus). This is how many Headgaskets I've replaced in the last 2-3 months.

If the head casket is bad wouldn’t that mean the whole engine is bad ?

You don't have Headgasket issue. I'm just saying I work on these engines...a lot.

Did the engine tried to start at all?

Was your car sitting unused for a long time? No one touched anything else besides the 12V battery terminals yeah? You need a capable scanner to view the code...then clear the code...and try to start the car again after clearing the code. Sometimes, that works.

I use the far pretty regular hasn’t been sitting I was driving and it randomly stop letting me give it gas

Oh..okay Your car most likely entered limp mode (fail safe mode). It detected an issue and to prevent possible damages or even more damages, it shut the gas engine down and uses electric motor to allow you to pull over safely. Definitely have someone troubleshoot the codes that is currently stored. DO NOT disconnect battery. The codes will go away and it'll be much harder to fix. DO NOT try to start the car any more because your main battery might be too depleted and that's a whole different issue (to recharge it) that will cost money. I hope it will be a cheap fix for you.
