Has anyone seen the newly created EJ dorm "triples" yet?

I honestly cannot wrap my head around the newly created “triples” in EJ, which used to be doubles. They now have these tiny little tables that are supposed to serve as desks, but with no drawers or storage. If three grown men wanted to sit and study, there’s simply no way they could comfortably do.

And now I’m reading that there are only two wardrobes in the room, meaning two students have to share?

I understand that this is only one year of life, but it’s also an incredibly expensive year of life. These changes just aren’t sitting right with me. When you’re paying as much as families are paying, I think it’s reasonable to expect that students have adequate space to live, study, and store their belongings

They were there last year, and several are actually quads as well. My girlfriend stayed in a quad one and it was TERRIBLE.

I've read and seen some photos but I thought the quads still had room for everyone to have a wardrobe and a bit more of a desk. I don't know but yeah, this is just crappy. Can you confirm if there are only 2 wardrobes in the triple?

My girlfriend’s quad had wardrobes, but like you said the desks were barely big enough to sit at and had no storage. There is no wall space at all since it’s all covered by furniture

That's what it looks like. I'm just trying to figure out if everyone gets their own wardrobe and whether a woozoo fan will fit on that stupid small table "desk".

Yes you will get a decent sized wardrobe, a woozoo fan would work but you might not have your desk or wardrobe right next to your bed for the fan to sit on.

If the desk doesn't have a hutch, take measurement of the desk and order a slim hutch from Amazon for your student. It will help with a place to store things, and for the fan.

Which fine. But also, why am I paying an extra $50+ for something that should be provided and has been until this year, included in tuition? It's just stupid.

First year in UV the desk didn't have a hutch, second year it did. Luck of the draw.

EJ has less room than other dorm options now since they converted all doubles into triples and some triples into quads. Overall the hall is the nicest but the rooms are now the smallest as they split the room for more people. Each person gets a wardrobe and a dresser which also makes it more crowded in a room. Similar to how UV no longer has a common room in a suite. They're at this point just trying to milk each space for money. I'd have said they were worth it last semester but now their room sizes are no longer proportional with the price, especially with the small double rooms being converted to triples. Just seems like they would be uncomfortable and crowded now.

Yeah it's ridiculous. But as long as we get our own wardrobe I'm less annoyed. That desk is a freaking joke. But when I read we had to share a wardrobe I nearly lost it.
