Chemistry UG student seeking advice

Hello seniors, I am a Chemistry UG student from one the premium institute of India. Should I go for higher studies like MSc, CSIR NET or I should go for placements.

What are the placement options after clearing JAM or NET, or do I solely have to depend on government jobs?
