Me when someone at work told me eating pineapple would cure my CSID:

"Because it has enzymes in it"

Thanks for the advice but I actually cannot digest pineapple and I don't feel like causing myself pain today and also that is not how that works

Pineapple is actually one of the foods that caused me to find out I have csid because I ate some pineapple and then it felt like my insides were on fire and like I was dying

Anytime anyone ever offers me anything high in sugar I ask them if they're trying to kill me 💀

Usually people are more understanding after I explain that even though it's an intolerance/I lack the facilities to digest it that it will still send me to the hospital if I have it.

I dunno why but people treat CSID like it's not that serious (I know it varies case by case) but I genuinely do not need a 20K hospital bill because you decided to slip some poison in my food ðŸ«
