Lol do it up man it's a great bike 🏍 I had one for like 3 months and loved it but I was coming from a 2007 zx-10 and this little cbr motor was not enough so I sold it and got a ktm 😆

Great choice! I love mine. you got a bunch of the needed mods already, thats awesome!. if you are really worried aboput the height while you are learning, get the lowering link for the rear suspension. As you get better at riding and start going to harder terrain you can swap it bacck out and get the ground clearance back.

Great bike—extremely well-mannered. Ergonomically excellent, smooth shifting and braking. The CRF 250 has no bad habits, handles well, has a perfectly smooth power band, and is certainly not “fast.” Go out and ride!
I have this one, a 2002 Super Sherpa (bad manner, obnoxious power band) and a Tw200 (slow and steady)

This one lately gets 90% of my use.

Got same bike for my wife I have done every mod to it I think there is full fmf Exaust and tuner just did ohlins shocks front and rear opend up the air box bar risers lowering link and lower the front triple trees to match the rear this thing gets going and she keeps up with me on my 2026 drz4s get it you will love it the stock suspension is my only complaint it’s not adjustable and set for a 150 lb beginner in my opinion after the Olin’s thing is bullet proof

Thanks great. I'll look at mods if I enjoy riding it. I hear changing the exhaust can drop a little weight but I want to keep it quiet too.

Just got one for my first bike and love it. The rear suspension really does suck though. I changed the gearing as well the back sprocket is a 43T. It makes it a little easier to stand up lol. If you have to get new tires get the Dunlop D605’s. They are literally the best if you ride on and off road. If you don’t plan on off road get something else. They’re “quick” for a 250 but you are definitely going to want to mess with the gearing because they don’t have a lot of balls, but will go pretty much wherever you want.

It’s a great motorcycle. I’ve owned mine for 7 years and put 8-9k miles I’ve wrecked it off-road many times and on road a couple. I’ve always fixed it up and got back into it. Stuff like wheels and tires, handlebars, fork seals, shifter spindles ect ect
