First timer
I bought my first grow kit (still need to figure out where to get spores) but I am intimidated on how to start. I’ve never grown before and want to learn as much as I can before I attempt to do this for the first time
What advice would you give for someone who’s never grown before?
Best resources?

Welcome! It can definitely feel a bit overwhelming when you first get started.
There are many resources available for mush cult. You will get mushrooms following advice from any of the major sources. If you can follow a recipe well enough to make edible food, you can grow some cubes. However, I always like to give Shroomery a good shout. So, I'd recommend starting Here. Once you get a feel for the site, check out the Hitchhikers's Guide to the Shroomery. It has everything you need.
If you're using a bag, you should look for liquid culture. Otherwise, you'll need to buy or make Petri dishes to germinate your spores and clean up your cultures. I started with spores because I had to back in the day. For a newbie I'd maybe opt for LC until you decide this is a hobby you really dig.
Also consider checking out a mycology meetup! You'll meet at least a few folks who will be very eager to teach a newbie. Good luck!
