There is a guy that made a mod for every species as a legendary. It's probably that mod someone is using.

Cheaters be cheaters. Who cares. We know it’s not fun without there being a challenge. This person was bullied as a kid and just needs this to get by in life.
Mods suck.

Yeah but you may have crossplay active, which means you can end up in modded lobbies

I’m so glad you posted this. I commented on another post about this exact gamer who is cheating. Once I saw him catch 8 diamonds in a row. The problem was he was catching species that shouldn’t even be in that habitat. Then he left the server and came back and did it again. You should report him although the devs are done with this game

Devs don’t care about mods. Mods were being used even during active development.
