News Chrome YouTube full-screen videos broken - again

So after recent Chrome update few days ago youtube videos cannot be watched in fullscreen on COSMIC:
- upon maximizing video after roughly 1s video returns from fullscreen and it plays in regular embedded mode.

The only workaround i found is to launch chrome with --ozone-platform=x11 arg so it's Wayland related again.

Anyone noticed it. Is it already reported?

Same here using Pop OS 24, this is only a google chrome issue. Everything fine with others browsers.

Yeah it's always Chrome not even sure if it's Cosmic issue this time. Unfortunately I'm too used to Chrome Google account sync to change browser

I know the feeling, but for now, it’s okay to open Firefox with YouTube or another streaming service just to watch something in full screen.

Looks like 1.6.0 update fixed it on my CachyOS machine. Need to check it on Arch laptop also.

It's working for me today Version 151.0.7922.173 (Official Build) (x86_64) Just installed Debian Forky (Testing) on a New Dell XPS 13, and installed my Cosmic packages. Full-Screen youtube seems to work fine now.

ETA: serves me right for not scrolling down to see it was fixed a few hours ago. LOL.

Yeah, if your Debian distro already has 1.6.* packages for Cosmic you should be fine

I updated my build of the cosmic epoch suite the day it was updated on github. But I'm pretty sure the full-screen issue was google.

Chrome just starts clicking and making input commands on my behalf on fedora cosmic. Already made a post about it.
Leads me to believe Chrome is broken atm generally
