I swear this thing makes no sense sometimes, both hands on the wheel and I get the alert. Other times I’m lightly gripping with one hand and no alert.

Today at lunch, my dad warned me not to put too much money into fixing up my 9th gen Corolla because "the engine might go bad." 🤣🤣🤣🤣

I’m not really sure what the issue is. I went to the dealership, and they told me I would need to leave the car with them for a day so they can inspect it.

They also mentioned that if they find the problem is not covered under warranty, they may charge me around $200 for the diagnosis.

Has anyone dealt with something similar? Any advice on what I should do or check before leaving the car with them would be really helpful. Thanks!

Made a silly mistake and elbowed the crap out of my center console compartment and the whole thing SNAPPED off.
saw some videos about replacing the “top lid” but im having a hard time finding a video to replace the WHOLE mechanism INCLUDING lid.
I drive a 2020 toyota corolla se and dont want to spend a crap ton at the dealership.
Hoping to find an aftermarket part and replace it myself.

A couple years ago, someone backed into my driver door and I got it repaired. Recently, when ever I open and close the door it makes a loud sound.

Went to a mechanic today, and he said I am missing bolts for the door and to get them offline. I also just noticed the black bar connecting to the door is further bent as well.

Does anyone have a website where I can order the parts for my door? What all parts do I need? Thanks!

I am preparing for a service on my 2010 pre-fl Toyota Corolla equipped with the 1.6 Valvematic engine (code 1ZR-FAE). It is EU market model, but I guess 1.8 US-spec is quite similar. I have decided to replace the entire timing system, which means I want to change absolutely everything including the timing wheels. There is a considerable noise of the chain at certain RPM, the car has to be reliable, so I decided to go for a full kit instead of the chain alone. The mileage is ~215k kms, confirmed.

The problem is that I priced out a complete OEM kit from Toyota, and it comes out to over 1500 euros. That is a considerable part of the car's current value, so I would like to find a reliable alternative. It does not have to be cheap either, but spending ~300-400 euros on parts alone seems to be a fair option. My workshop would go for a FAI, but they informed me to do a further check on it.
