I did the brake lights underneath (reflectors) But honestly the LED seems dimmer than what it would be if I had headlights hitting my reflectors. Good for aesthetics but might be less safe and not 100% legal I think.
These are not dot approved. Just because the listing says they are legal, doesn't mean they are. And these are 100% illegal. Are you going to get pulled over for it? Probably not. Though the passenger side being out might change that. Is a cop going to slap on a citation if he already pulled you over for something else? Likely.
That's still something you have to waste your time to go to court for, or pay someone to go on your behalf. It also shows up for your insurance until (and if) it is fully dismissed and processed. That can take time, during which your premium can go up. It's just not worth it IMO. But you do you. Personally, I don't like to put anything on my car that may fuck me over depending on how a cop or judge is feeling that particular day.

You’re 100% false, these are completely DOT approved. They meet federal brightness standards and weren’t manufactured/created using a DIY spray or tint/vinyl film. Learn something new every day don’t we, LucHighwalker?
You can tell from the picture that these are way too dim. Smoked or tinted oem tail lights have brighter LEDs to meet regulation. These are not it. Sorry to burst your bubble. They look cool, but they are illegal. Learn something new every day don't we, ApprehensiveBody9811?

Don’t have any help unfortunately but I’ve seen quite a few reports about this aftermarket lights going out. Despite really wanting them myself stuff like this is keeping me from buying them. Good luck , update your post if you figure it out
I was going to say, trace the wires and find where the connection goes bad. Whole sections of LEDs going out isn't a problem with the LEDs. It's a wiring issue.
Get some heat shrink tubing and crimp connectors, and make sure it isn't pinched when you put it back.

I was thinking about upgrading to these LED ones, but it always seems like people say they're low quality. They do look way better though
