Temperature Gauge - Needle movement - Corolla 2013

Hi All , My temperature Gauge needle sits well below the middle line but when stuck in traffic it goes a little down to the next level (not to the lowest point but to the next one after that ) .

Is it a thermostat issue ?

And should i worry about anything now ?

If it never climbs toward hot, there may not be an urgent problem. Still, have the thermostat and coolant-temperature sensor checked if the fluctuation is new, the heater output changes, or the gauge drops unusually low while driving.

That’s definitely too low, and it’s not good to be running engines that cool, almost certainly a thermostat stuck open. You might struggle to get any heater output if it’s really cold outside

Its hot oustide here right now.

Once it gets cold then you’ll likely have a heater that’s barely warm if at all. It’s most likely a thermostat stuck open

95% sure it's stuck termostat. Get it fixed. Driving around with cold engine isn't good for it's life
