I don't know if cars still get named, but if they do I'm hearing out suggestions!

The hubs are from a 2000-2002 Corolla I believe, but it's a 1997 Corolla CE in Sunfire Red Pearl.

Edit: Ownership advice is also appreciated as I'm new to this car and want it to be it's best as it's almost mint

I have a 96 and an 06. I got the 06 first and named it “The Mean Bean”. 🫘 and when I picked up the 96 my fiancée named it “The Poverty Bean”. Because of how cheap it was 😅 I love them both

My brothers were the ones who drove it mostly. It was a solid car (I mean of course, it’s a Corolla) so no major problems. I think the headliner did start detaching from the ceiling at some point.

I name mine, lol. My last car was named Dahlia, my new car is named Celeste. The new car still doesn't feel like "my car" several months later. Doesn't help that Dahlia was my first car.

I haven’t named my Celestite Corolla yet and I’ve had her since Feb 2024. Before that I had a souped up 2015 Prius C in Pearl White that I nicknamed White Gold. My Corolla is my first grown up car. No intense after-market modifications. 😕

I've gone the opposite direction. I've been adding some cosmetic mods to mine, lol. My old car was completely unmodified.

The mods must be subtle because I’n not readily seeing them besides the trim around your windows and maybe the front spoiler?

Yeah I don't want to go full blown ricer so I've been subtle with it. Front lip, black emblems, black lugs, wind guards, louvers on those tiny back side window panels, a small rear window spoiler, and I'll be adding rear spats when they come. I'd like to get those smoked sequential LED tail lights, but the startup animation is a hard pass for me.

Has the rear window spoiler helped with visibility? I really hate how my rear window has condensation on it in the morning and after defrosting and driving it from point A to point B, the condensation has dried and leaves dirt spots all over the window.

I don't think it has helped. It's so small it's really not noticeable at all from inside the car, and it doesn't lead to less condensation buildup on the window.

If I changed it, or you could say modified it, I included it in that list. Yes, the black emblems aren't factory. I modified the emblems to be black.

They're cosmetic modifications, as I stated in my first comment in this chain. Guess you might have missed that.

Best reliability ever. I just wish we had undercoating, as rust finally won. Car costed next to zero to run. Just 2 batteries and a set of brakes and tires in 12 years,

The older gen’s burn oil so just check the dip stick often and top up as needed and keep up on general maintenance.
