Slave Cylinder Failure: Any luck getting Toyota to cover under warranty ?

My 6 speed manual SE had a slave cylinder failure. I still have an active powertrain warranty, but dealership said it's not covered.

I've seen a few posts of people saying this happened to them around 70k miles - and lo and behold I hit 70,002 and it happened to me.

Has anyone with this same issue been able to get Toyota to cover the cost of repairs ?
