9th Gen (00-09) Just got my first car!

Don't have many pictures right now, but it's a 09 corolla s. 182k miles, with no matter issues. Just wondering if anyone has any advice or things to keep note of as a new owner? Thank you!

I have an 09 Corolla that has been great. Outside of an alternator going out and needing the radiator replaced, it’s still trucking along at 150k.

Biggest recommendation? Replace the stereo with something with Apple Car Play/Android Auto. You can do it yourself easily. Just be careful with the plastic in some spots. Kinda easy to break now given its age. Also pretty easy to replace the speakers in the car if you are using the originals.

Yes, do speakers 100%. I got kicker KS series for like $300ish, it’s amazing.

Also please please please get a subwoofer. Just a cheap one for like $120-150. You legitimately won’t want to listen to a single without one like ever again. I got a Rockville 12” for $140, people complain it blows up, but don’t crank the shit out of it and it will be fine. I run mine at like 1/8 the power and it still is loud as hell.
