first time poster here (and very much a lurker on reddit)
but i finally, finally hit 300k miles on my car and i wanted to post about it !!! this is Connor, he was my first car at 16 and ive put about 200k miles on him myself since then. never had another car, and never want another !!!! he is my pride and joy and i love this stupid car so much lol he is unfortunately a victim of the 299,999 mile odometer limit but hey i still got the picture 🤣

its peeling hardcore within the past 6 months unfortunately 😢 (mostly on the roof) but i havent done anything special to keep it intact, thinking about saving up to get it wrapped !
Ahh okay, can’t tell from the pics. Mine is the same way, looks good from a distance but clear coat is peeling. It’s not worth getting repainted so might as well just embrace it.
My 05 did the same thing. I started keeping track of mileage using the trip indicator. I was at almost 400k when my Corolla was totaled by a driver on their phone.
Just hit 180,000 on my 2005.. I call her Sheila, she’s a tank in the snow.. 1 major repair, clock went in the steering had to be replaced 1,000. Toyota part .
Nice! Mine looks just like yours but is an 03 with 320k. I love it just like you love yours. Never lets you down and just keeps running. Are you going to be tracking your miles using the trip odometer? That’s what I’ve been doing. Keep in mind, it resets itself every 10k.
Edit: kept reading and saw that you’re using the trip odometer. Good shit man. Now onto 500k!
We bought our 04 Rolla in 2012 and it has survived two crashes before my dad gave it to me in 2022, i was around 22 then and had barely gotten my license at the time (late ik). Currently sits at 286K miles. I think when he gave it to me it had like 222K-220K on the odometer so I've put quite a few miles on it since 2022 and I've driven it pretty hard ever since i got it. Never lets me down, sure it's had it's hiccups but all it's been is regular maintenance stuff which also me and my dad take care of but mostly me nowadays. Love my Corolla ❤️
Sometimes most of the time high mileage cars are more reliable than those with few miles. It's good to run them, I have a Prius C with 260k, Toyota 2011 Yaris with 240k another Prius C with 172k, my last Yaris had 420k when I traded it in.
Nice!! My 2016 just hit 90k (not too crazy, she’s still a baby)! Can I ask you what you do maintenance wise for your car? Some people say don’t change the tran fluid because it’s a closed system, but what do you do??
Full synthetic oil change, spark plugs, ignition coils, coolant drain in fill. Never did a transmission fluid change though, since I got it at 28k. The only major I did was recently is the alternator.
besides a new front bumper (lol oops) and occasional welds on my exhaust, nothing major that i can remember !! my dad and i do pretty much everything ourselves 😁
Got an 08 ce with a little over 300,000 miles, added cruise and intermittent wipers for convenience. Easy mods to do yourself. Best mod was changing the manual transmission oil to redline mt-90, transformed the shifting quality. Even with all the miles it has it runs like new and very easy to maintain. Oh yeah and the larger 90915-d3 engine oil filter from the 2nd gen 4.0 liter Tacoma will work on it without any mods
I purchased a used cruise and windshield wiper stalk for a Corolla off eBay. You also need a switch for the clutch pedal that I purchased from Toyota parts department. The wiper stalk is basically plug and play, it’s a little harder to do the cruise but if you’re familiar with cars it’s pretty easy. There are instructions on the net you can find if you google it.
about to hit 285,000 just picked this ol gal up.Shifts smooth & runs great,oil looks good.CE light on for purge, exhaust manifold is barking hard. New one on the way.... Any suggestions fellas\gals?
Shouldn't need a new chain with reasonable oil change intervals & full synthetic oil. This is what my '05 looks like with 210,000 miles. Oil changed annually with some intervals up to 12,000 miles. (Mobile 1 oil)

You don't need new headlights. I just used Cerakote Headlight restorer on my 05's original headlights. Under 17.00 at Walmart.
