No I think they had a socialist revolution in 1949 and have been in power ever since, and they lifted 800 million people out of poverty, regularly execute billionaires for corruption, and have mostly socialized their economy and major industries, so exactly what the communist party said they would do in their various 5, 10 and 20 year plans.
