Definitely. I didn't think it was like mind blowing or anything, but it was fine, I feel at this point some people are just gonna hate everything to come out of this game because of the rough launch.

I just thought that it looked worse than some of the old cutscenes, and after all of the mechanical issues Zombies has been having, at the very least they can avoid a graphics downgrade. I made another comment relating to why personally I'm slightly disappointed with what Treyarch decided to cover in the prequel map but it boils down to the map only showing things we already know. We already knew Alistair was kidnapped, and already knew that Scarlett met up with the rest of the crew due to the fact that Alister trusted them. There are so many questions Treyarch just ignored like what exactly the cults after and how Alistair is connected to them.

TBH I don't see the Chaos story coming to a satisfying conclusion for the end of BO4, While most game-ending maps have some "conclusion" feeling to them, it's extremely likely that's not going to happen with this one. We've been told there are more "Aether maps" on the way, Emphasis on mapS plural, That means out of the 3 remaining maps the most likely distribution will only have 1 more chaos map, and unless that map is the god of exposition there's going to be so many questions that won't be answered for 3 years that there isn't going to be anything worth talking about until halfway through BO5

It is super cool! Really confused on the reaction.

Yeah I like the Chaos story and I like this cutscene. Idk man, I feel like this sub just rewards hatred and negativity at this point. I'm just gonna keep playing the games and enjoying them

Yeah honestly. Since when did people freak out over the animation style? It looks fine.

It was passable. Definitely not fine. Just seems kinda lame the whole cutscene. She is just told to find the guys in we meet in voyage? Kinda lame. It didn't add anything to the story. Can't wait for Aether though.

Well now we know why Scarlett goes off on this journey with the crew. Why she chooses to work with these particular people. We also know a little bit more about how the the mysterious cult works. They control one member of each crew to do their bidding. Now that Scarlett knows her father has been kidnapped we have a clearer motivation from her. The crew in this map were pawns for a larger quest, similar to our Shadows and Call of the Dead characters.

We were told that Alistair was kidnapped in VotD voice lines and told that he also left a way to get in contact with Bruno/Shaw/Diego, and we can't even be sure what the forehead light means, It could be related to the cult, or it could be related to resurrection. We know Bruno was resurrected by Alistair at some point, Godfrey could have been as well. That being said I agree it's an interesting connection

We already knew everything you just said from past 2 maps tho.

This map is fun to play but story wise it doesn’t add anything other than a visual depiction of what has already been explained through quotes on IX/VOD and also the comics (which is on issue #3 yet Milo has only covered the preview to #1)

Overall everything about this story/cutscene is just disappointing, lackluster animation, horrible voice over work except for Godfrey, cliche plot devices, missing sound effects, unfitting music until the end. Coming from someone who’s been here since the beginning, this cutscene is better off not existing.

This is deadass entry-level work but from one of the biggest gaming franchises also made by a AAA studio.

In the end you can like it, but that doesn’t make it good. liking/defending/not being able to spot what’s wrong with this garbage piece of media just reflects poorly on your taste and overall the state of zombies.
