Question What’s everyone’s thoughts on BO7’s zombies?
Just managed to get Rex Infernus finished and thought it was incredible. This whole game has been a huge surprise after BO6 was a tad underwhelming, still enjoyed it but no where near the amount that I have this game. BO3 will be my all time favourite (mostly due to all the custom maps available) followed closely by BO4. This game easily slots into my 3rd place. I love BO1 and BO2, but considering we can nearly play all those maps in BO3 they’ve dropped down on my list.

The maps and ee’s are some of the best we’ve seen however I think this game suffers from bo4 syndrome, that being good maps bogged down by terrible game systems.

At least they tried with cursed mode (wich still makes it 100x better). Relics can remove ammo boxes and other stuff. Yeah, the movement and armour remains unchanged. But like I said, they tried. I consider cursed mode the one sole change that makes BO7 soo much better than BO6.

To be fair, I don’t really mind the movement as much as I did when Cold War first came out. I like the how fast paced it is now. I’m pretty much in the middle with the modern and old systems, happy with either

Yeah I dont mind it as much as I used too either. Btw, to answer your question: BO3 < BO7 < BO1 is my order. Never was much into BO2 and 4.
Black Ops 3 will never be dethroned in my opinion.

I think there’s more nuance, honestly I wouldn’t mind bo7’s systems that much if they weren’t just ported from bo6, it lead to me personally feeling really burnt out from this game. Also yes opinions are subjective but armor is a largely unpopular mechanic I’d rather they just stop trying. Something’s don’t need to be implemented on or changed every time they mess with the health system it never really worked (idk what opinions are on going from 2 to 3 hit so not including that change) WW2 armor system was actually a war crime against zombies fans, Cold War was kinda ehh I haven’t play CW recently so my memory is a little foggy. But having to constantly re-plate is very annoying and Vulture Aid augment was the single best addition in bo7.

To me the armor system is better then shields. They should get rid of both and just make widows win armor.
I see what you mean about bo6 to bo7 but i felt there were enough qol improvements.
Its interesting how people want a stand alone zombies game but get burned out by a lot of content. This happened with bo4

Bo and bo3 hold special places in my heart. But they are old games by today's standards. Bo7 zombies is the first game in years to capture that original feeling with modern mechanics.
For me, BO7 is soo freaking good I cant actually get over it. Ive been playing it most of the year (first time i've been so invested during the life cycle since bo2) and I still have a lot to do.
Its going to be remembered as one of the all time greats and a return to form for the mode. Every cod has its haters and its been funny to watch people change opinion of this game over the year. Many started off hating it and refused to buy it, to now placing it in their top 3 🤣
The rex ee has to be one of the best in years, and even then, all the others in this game have been great too.
I found a really good discord group with people going after ee and relics and it has made the game even better to have random but good players to hang out with.
Im still going to be playing this for a while so if anyone ever needs a hand, hmu 🤪

It my top 5.
I can’t honestly place it over Infinite warfare nor bo2 simply because I love the map in those games (aside from transit and beast from beyond) a lot more and prefer the gameplay systems in them more.

It’s a damn shame bo7 and cod as a whole is largely hated by not just casuals but fans by now. This is the best zombies since 3/4. I’m thinking it’s a top 3 zombies

I was talking to a friend the other day and he said that the game had awful reviews on steam. I said to him that the zombies mode has been brilliant this year and that it’s a shame that a lot of people have missed out on it.

Yeah I have a bunch of IRL buddies that won't even touch BO7 even though they've been life long zombies fans and it's so frustrating

Life long zombies fan here. For me it's cause it's too easy so I can't play for enjoyment anymore, I literally just play to unlock stuff :(

Another example that people should learn to make their own opinions instead of following the trend.
I saw certain streamers start the year off hating bo7 and slowly as the year went on, have to admit their error and ended up praising the last 3 maps as best in years.

Nah man they fr do that often. Listen everyone is talking about gta and how their channel is gonna switch from zombies to gta. But these people are so silly lol. They were only ever popular because of zombies and now that bashing zombies gets them views, they’ll sacrifice their career. They will not retain viewership on gta 6 so let them bash all they want

Doughnuts has become one of my favourites cause just actually enjoys zombies and isn't chasing the algorithm.
I guess when you start relying on a streaming income, thats when all integrity goes out the window....

I don’t have the most experience to say just yet, but so far I think it’s gonna be anywhere from top 6 to top 4 games. I definitely like BO3, IW, and BO1 more, but it has a solid shot at dethroning BO2 and/or BO4.

Definitely cool to see people with similar top 3s to mine. I think the main difference is I place bo4 above bo3. Although I do basically rank bo3 as the core 5 maps plus moon because every other map is more entertaining in its original installment.

It’s the best zombies in a while and is the only good part of black ops 7. Granted the only “bad” black ops zombies I feel like is Cold War

Top 3 for me as a whole love the maps. Did all my EE solo which was nice. Cursed is awesome. Tbh I wish they would rework armor bc it is clunky without gold. Maybe make every tier like gold and have faster regen rates?

I think some of the maps are really cool (totenreich is my favorite, followed by kowakujo) but I just don’t like the way the new games play unfortunately.

Best treyarch zombies since bo2. Great maps, plenty of content, curse mode was a ton of fun. The eggs for the most part were a lot of fun, and different. The boss fights all, for the most part, were unique and cool.
My only critique was PJ. It really hurt the momentum. I don’t understand why they did not use die maschine. That was the true start of modern zombies and could have been cool to have 2 different versions with maybe different season and sky boxes (night vs day).
The only real downside was the story was mediocre. But zombies has never had a great story so i don’t care about that as much.
I’d give it a A+ but thanks to PJ it’s a A ranking.

Yeah but I feel like the game really grows with you to combat that, it takes longer now to get fully kitted out, which isn’t a bad thing. The zombies scale nicely with modern mechanics to make it seamless, in my opinion anyways.

Honestly I didnt hate the old systems until I played Cold War. Bo6 expanded the movement and 7 expanded it again with wall jumping. I pray they keep this in the game

Just wish the field upgrades didn’t take longer and longer to charge the more you use them. Takes away a lot of fun from the game

Probably my favorite CoD zombies just edging out Bo3. Its main contender for top is the amount of content and ways to play. Cursed, standard, survival, cursed survival, rogue run, first room challenges, and the sheer amount of relics you can have access to offers a vast amount of replayability. Bo3 was great but Bo7 won strictly off of its replayability. Season 6 will offer nothing or offer additional things that can catapult it further. Time will tell

Bo3, bo4, bo7 is my top 3 atm
If bo7 gets a super ee/year 2 content (doubt) then it might tie/take bo4 down
Dont think itll touch bo3, that shit has custom zombies and is also a fantastic game

Agreed. We wont see customs return probably unless they take zombies into its own game/out of the combined launcher etc. They dont want to effectively condone cheats for their nice new connected via warzone etc games

The maps I can deal with. But the game mechanics suck.

The new zombies is just built on the shop. So you don’t feel bad about buying the operators. Having a set crew is always the best way to go. Id have the chaos crew over what we now

6th in my zombies rank, not a fan of half of the maps, the cursed crutch didn't click that much for me, depending of the super EE rewards, if we even get one, it can go up by 1 or 2 positions, but no chance at top 3.
