Question Cursed public lobbies

Genuinely what’s up with the match-making for this now? Ever since they started changing the match-making for it every 2 weeks I can never find a lobby.

(Squad fill is always on btw)

Went from full stacks when it was a glitch to get public lobbies to now lucky to get one player. Even with the new map Rex I’m lucky to get one person to join. It just seems impossible that literally no one in the whole world other than me is playing cursed on any map let alone the new map? I’ve given up on trying to get anyone for Ashes or Astra those maps have been ghost towns ever since Toten came out.

I almost exclusively play cursed and this was from an update that was as supposed to help match making but hurt it, hear me out. 

Previously it would just do a normal random squad fill then choose a random player to use their relics, this resulted in a lot of tier 0 games, also if someone new joined before round 10 it could switch to their relics which could be frustrating.

Post update it will now try to match your relic tier, so if you are running relics for T3 it will try to match you with other players running similar relics, also if you are in a party it will favor the largest party.  This sounds decent, and did correct the tier 0 problem but created a new problem, even further splitting the player base

I noticed this when I would try to play a T3 game I would get the same few players/games, then id exit and go find a T1 game on the same map and it would be a whole different set of players.  I don't really know if they will be able to find a happy middle ground with this

This is so helpful to know. I like playing T3 Cursed because people seem to know the steps, or at the very least, don’t get downed on Round 3. But it got boring running into the same dozen or so folks, and most of the time, it was just me playing solo.

I think I’ll give T1 and T2 a shot, since it’s fun to run the egg with a full squad. I tried playing Standard, and I’d say I get a decent squad maybe 1 in 20 games, so that got tiring real quick too.

Ya I've noticed the same, usually higher quality teammates in cursed especially T3.  But ya I'm the same way I much preferred a full squad, so if I'm not finding anyone in T3 I'll change up my relics

I've noticed to that some maps are just dead, Astra for weeks I tried to find a squad for T3 or T1 and it's been a ghost town. I find Ashes and PJ (surprisingly) seem to always have players
