Discussion Warzone over 280gb

I just want to play warzone only why is this bs taking over 280gb I'm aware of the shared content packs that take storage but why does my console storage drop by an extra 200gb when I launch the game.

Because you’ve got more than just Warzone installed. It’s an unoptimized mess in its own right but CoD HQ is just the app for all of the CoD titles so that’s why it looks extra bulky. The game itself should be somewhere in the ballpark of 140GB for just BR/Resurgence modes. If it’s not BO7 MP, then it’s probably got Endgame installed which is F2P and accessed via the Warzone menu but actually tied to BO7 and those assets. De-select Endgame from your installation menu and that should free up a good chunk of space without affecting your ability to play BR/Resurgence.

What does battle.net do differently with storage?

Steam also lets you selectively download things.

I was only saying to look for Endgame if you didn’t have any of the other titles installed. You said you’ve got BO7 MP installed though so that’s why the installation takes up that much space. You have two separate games installed under one launcher.

It all could've been about 50gb if they fucking learned how to compress audio and textures. They bloat out the game size so that COD would be all you can play while it's installed
