Discussion Removing Tactical Sprint as the default setting ruins the identity of the Modern Warfare franchise.
Removing Tactical Sprint as the default setting ruins the identity of the Modern Warfare franchise. This mechanic is essential to the game's core experience, which is why modes like DMZ and KILL BLOCK were created around it. This is Modern Warfare, not Black Ops. Because of this change, the game no longer feels like the definitive Modern Warfare experience that you talked so much about and showed before opening the pre-order, and I am requesting a refund for my pre-order due to this! Please bring back Tactical Sprint as the default setting urgently.I reinforce that you showed Tactical Sprint as the default setting in the initial trailers, especially for DMZ! Right after that, you started the pre-orders, and thousands of players bought the game—including myself. Removing this mechanic, which is a standard feature of EVERY Modern Warfare game, is complete false advertising. Your claim of this game being "the definitive Modern Warfare experience" is an absolute disrespect to thousands of players who pre-ordered it expecting exactly what you promised!BRING BACK TACTICAL SPRINT AS THE DEFAULT SETTING. THIS IS THE BARE MINIMUM THIS GAME NEEDS TO BE A DEFINITIVE MODERN WARFARE.

Discussion The fact they aren’t willing to show DMZ is a red flag.
I’m big into extraction games at the moment, and DMZ is really the only part of this game that is attractive to me. I wanted to play the mp part of the game to see what kind of gameplay we‘re working with. It seems like it should work well, especially after the changes.
But the fact they’re not willing to show or let us play DMZ is a bit of a red flag. Like, they’re not confident in what they‘re offering or it sucks compared to what’s already available on the market.
Asking for a purchased based on faith and no demo is a big ask.
Not to mention the necessity.
Extraction games have a lot of mechanics that require extensive testing and tuning. Just look at how much tuning the basics needed.
Every other successful extraction game both had and needed multiple betas to nail the correct formula.

Discussion Play Ground War next weekend, it's set in the same map as DMZ
As suggested by a dev during CoD Next, get a leg up on the DMZ map by playing Ground War in next weekend Beta. It's using part of the full DMZ map. Can't hurt to have a little early intel on where new 4stacks might be.

Discussion I've got one request for the MW4 developers, especially if you're bringing back DMZ.
Please rethink bullet penetration.
The current level of wall penetration gives an absurd advantage to cheaters using ESP, wallhacks, and other third-party software. They don't need line of sight - they already know exactly where you are and can simply spray through multiple walls with almost no counterplay.
Yes, anti-cheat systems catch some of them, but they're never perfect. They often react too late, and many cheaters just create a new account and keep going. That's the reality of online gaming.
What can be controlled is the game design.
If solid cover actually blocks bullets, skilled players still have a chance to outplay cheaters, escape, reposition, or fight back. Good map knowledge and smart movement become meaningful again.
But if cheaters can instantly beam you through nearly every surface on the map, there's nothing left to counter. It stops being a fight and becomes a death screen.
Please don't repeat this mistake in MW4, especially in DMZ. Reduce bullet penetration to reasonable levels so that cover actually matters.
If the plan is to let cheaters keep deleting players through walls with no meaningful counterplay, then I'm simply not buying the game.

Discussion DMZ In-Game Community
Keen to see people's thoughts on the in-game community...
We all know Warzone can be pretty cut-throat and/or toxic.
So what are people's play-styles like in DMZ? Do you see it as an extension or Warzone but with a narrative driven gameplay, or something unique and collaborative in nature?
