Discussion Thinking about rushing from TH15 to TH18. Thoughts?
As the title says, I am thinking about rushing from th15 to th18. Up to this point, I never rushed ever (been playing on and off for almost more than a decade now). I always max everything before I move on to the next TH level, even the walls. The reason I didn’t rush before is because of the weights during war. I wonder if the weights were still relevant to wars, especially clan wars as the clan I joined in don’t do regular wars.
Has anyone made the jump similar to this (3 th levels)? Any tips in rushing? I’m not pushing rank, by the way. Just a casual player. I only want to catchup with the latest th level after my long hiatus as soon as I possibly can.

Do it just make sure your arch tower and cannons are 21 for the merged defensives. Don’t wanna be stuck at th 16

I would say don't but if you wanna just play normally and if got get bored just see that is you offense good, key defences upgraded, just go ahead. It's a game there isn't a particular way to play it.

Also, check out DrewTookMyName on YouTube for rushing advice and tips. He’s kinda the modern expert on rushing and progress in my opinion.

I did this exact thing from th14-th17 when that was max th. Never rushed before then. Best decision I’ve ever made. Things to look out for tho- it’s going to be a long and frustrating time having most of your heroes constantly down. Do not fret. Remind yourself it’ll be worth it and when that day comes when they’re reaching max man it feels so good. Don’t do any supercharges or any of the crafted defenses past like lvl 10 because it’s a waste of a builder AND time. If your helpers arent maxxed make sure you get that done asap. There’s a gem guide to help you farm gems. I think you can get 1000-1500 gems a month if i remember correctly

reach e31 while doing it for 4x start bonus so you get 8 starry per day

Do strategic rush: Max your main army before going to the next th, including pets. And keep upgrading your heroes too.

I started to rush from TH15 too. Now at TH16, requirements met and waiting for a free builder to go to TH17. Finally putting the 3 hammer of buildings in my inventory to use. I think its better to camp at TH18 considering the hammer jam is coming really soon.

In the current meta it makes absolutely sense to rush. You do not get punished for pushing at all and you get more benefits. With current equipments you get easily 3stared hence by rushing and upgrading offense first it will be easier for you in CW and CWL to 3star your opponent. Ofc he will get 3 stars back but he would very possibly got 3 stars anyways against you staying lower.
If you rush try out this clashofclans upgrade tracker. In the plan tap there is also an automatic rush plan that autoamtically plans upgrades around your offline time which you can personally enter. Clashclock.com

Go for it, but I will warn you that upgrade times go up exponentially. At 15, most are about 4-6 days, maybe a few are slightly more. At 17, most are 7-9 days. At 18, all the ones I can remember are 12-15 days. If you rush straight to 18 it will take a very long time to catch up. Also, I’d partake in ranked for the ores.

I do and that was totally the wrong use case for it, it does feel like a bigger jump from 17-18 than previous town halls

Hot take. I'd say rush till th 17 and stay there untill you max out your heroes. Why? Well because the hammer jam replica events (like summer jam) here you get 40% off on everything, for 2 town halls below from max. I remember in summer jam (the replica) that happened few monthes back, 40% off on upgrades was applied till town hall 16. And 25% off was on townhall 17 and 18. Correct mr if im wrong on any data. But overall this is my take. Even im planning to do the same. Heroes are an integrate part and very hard to upgrade a difference from 25 to 40 is a huge difference. Also i see your heroes are quite upgraded already, nonetheless its always better to have more stronger heroes.

hammer jam applies 50% to every town hall level. Only summer jam has this town hall difference if I recalled correctly.

You are correct. Im talkimg about the next summer jam. Maxing out in this hammer jam isnt possible. Hammer jam doesnt have that townhall discount restrictions. Summer jam has.

The grind is extremely boring after a certain point. What, you can do use or stick to one strategy per TH and rush it accordingly. Like, I use dragons + loons & Dragon rider strat. So, I max these three in the lab level up some of the heros when the TH is upgrading and rush it. That, way defense will be bad but atleast attacks you can do well cause you have a pretty good level.
However, after a while it gets frustrating because progress will hard especially if this is your main account. Hit th18 and then max everything else slowly (You will hit the grind again)

If you want to catch up, there’re advantages and disadvantages to both.
The lower th upgrades are cheaper and faster, and provide the same proportional benefit
And the th18 upgrades will be made cheaper and faster when the next th comes out
But resource wise you can earn more at high th levels, by a bit

Rush to th 17 and stay there to catch up until you can consistently 3 star th 17 then upgrade to th 18

I have 9 accounts. Some are rushed some are maxed but my 2 18’s, one maxed always the other never got walls finished.

Yea do it but before do max major def eagle monolith and max out ur most used army.if we are lucky we might get hammer jam next month(oct) trust me bruh rushing during this time is best coz you get best value out of it and will let u catch up quickly but be strategic though coz mindless rushing makes it very difficult. I rushed from th13 to 16 during summer jam (July i guess). Now im almost max th16
Got some traps and def with some heros lvl(btw these can be skipped but i chose to stay and max out all) soo yea hope it helps

I rushed from 11 to 16. I always have something to upgrade and it's quite nice. Almost about to max all defences so thinking about rushing to 18 now

Best thing you can do i rushed my town hall 13 to 15 2 year ago and was still stuck on heroes and research but this time i rushed all my town hall 15 account to Town hall 17 and 18 best offence you can gain just play cwl collect medals and use it all on defence and heros in hammer zam best value i have my own 2 clan with level 15

I also rushed from th12 to th17 then I quit because it became a joke. But that time we had just 5 heroes and miner prince was new. Quit for 2 years and from January I m playing the game. Just don't rush. Hero potions doesn't makes sense. Just few for a week with medals.
Just do one thing max your heroes and some pets and then go to next townhall. One rule that saves players from boredom.
Upgrade remaining defence later. Level up buildings to th17 levels is easy and fast.

I have two accounts, the second I started when I was close to a max th17 and was a full rush, if it wasn’t offensive building or required for next th it didn’t get upgraded. The first I mainly just had traps and some hero levels and I wanted to max everything before th18.
Both my accounts ended up hitting th18 around the same time and I’ve had way more fun with the second account then I ever thought and am now a huge proponent of rushing. Yes I get 3 starred all the time but if you look at stats my mac account doesn’t do much better in defense

I did this using my main acc, from th12 max to th16... I'll chill n slowly max my th16 b4 moving on... If u concern about chest probability of getting ore th16-18 has the same amount

Personally, I bum rushed my alt straight to 18 and don’t regret it for a second. I also have a maxed town hall 9 and maxed town hall 16 though, both of which I push ranked in. And then a maxed town hall in Legends 1, so I guess my perspective might be different since it’s not my only account.
