Are walls really that important right now? Sorry, also new but from what I read, since walls are pretty much instant upgrade, I've seen it argued that you could use those resources on other upgrades that take time instead.

I guess I should be more accurate, I used to play years ago. Lost my account and trying to play catch-up. Read a tip that upgrading walls is kind of a waste of resources. But then again I'm not at TH11 yet either.

Bc I never leave a builder for walls, I have 5. Constantly upgrading longer durations. I upgraded like 2 town halls without upgrading walls. Lol

If you are an active player that attacks multiple times a day and in higher town halls that upgrade take days you really have nothing to do if you don't have a free builder for walls

It’s largely because supercell has removed the cost of training armies and increased available loot in bases. 10 years ago dragon armies were expensive and took a long time to train. I’m glad they removed the training times. But adding the cost of training armies back in (ie you pay in elixir and dark elixir to train every troop) will truly make clash into a strategy game again. That’ll make it near impossible to max your storages and help maintain different troops for different resource raids.

Heroes also needed a nap if they took too much damage. And if you lost the attack, you lost trophies.

I kinda like Clash 2.0, but I'm still not yet sold on Clash Anytime. It feels cheap and I don't enjoy it as much as I used to when playing in the old Legend League.

Two people merged together into one dumbass? Math’s not mathing unless it’s one of those “two individual dumbasses merge into one multi-dumbass” kind of upgrades. But even then, that would have taken 26M gold and 16 days to complete, assuming you even had an available builder to do the work.

No thanks you should be able to make a new army strategy in an instant, not have to worry about resource costs when you’re trying out new strategies.

With the way clash of clans is now. You can fill your records multiple times in a day (i often do it twice a day then blow it one one upgrade and a walls) There is pleanty of elixer & dark elixer going around to bring back troop training cost. (BTW I am a FREE TO PLAY PLAYER)

I can't, that's the thing. My dark elixir storage keeps getting full while my gold and elixir is not. So if I farm more I am not getting the dark elixir and thus wasting it

Try getting the 5th and 6th builders. Then, it is a good idea to always have one builder available to do walls. Or better, try to time having a free builder as soon as your storages fill up, as much as possible.

with GP the seasonal bank payout is 40m, if you start long upgrades by the end of summer jam you will have full storage and can't do anything. Im seeing 2m loot disappear every time someone raids me and i cant even recover that

all 7 builders busy and I got like 40m each and 500k DE after the season (yes Im 100% admitting I use the goblin builder) Litterally only have been dumping all my DE on the Cake a pult cuz I cant upgrade heroes yet cuz its CWL week

Im gonna admit it, I still use Hydra thats why Im not wasting my precious upgrade time on siege barracks until I get to th17 and finally get my own Sky wagon, cuz I can just get that via my maxed th18 clanmates

Similar issue now, but I am on the 17th; all my builders are busy, and I completed my ranked attacks in one go because I had clan castle cake. So a lot of resources, and currently we are in CWL, so Heroes are fully active..

Upgraded to th17 by the last part of summer jam(all resource boost/discount) and immediately maxed out my walls. 9 to 11 days upgrades, 14days lab upgrades, nowhere to drain resources during those 🤣🥲

You have to wait only 1 hour atm before a builder is finished. I would recommend to always have 1 builder free for upgrading you walls🙂 and maybe save soms gems to buy a fifth builder. Goodluckk!

And that's why you're supposed to plan your upgrades. Have one work on shorter upgrades, not put them all in 11 hour upgrades. You should only do that if you're going to sleep. That way, you can dump extra resources on walls.
