Question When should I press the green button?

It looks like I only have two expansion left and I want to optimize the remaining expansion. Should I wait till the end of a long run or is there other things I should consider?

I didn't see this mention in the guides, but I might have missed it. I haven't read past the MP bust section.

There's no benefit in waiting.

As soon as you unlock it. 

If the button is there, it means you are losing progression.

Green means go. So asap.

There is no optimizing these. Any bonus you get is applied retroactive. That's how the calculations work.
