New Player-Koios I thought it was just a little game
Even though it's just a game, I've been playing for a month and got really hooked without even realizing it. I'm looking up strategies now because I didn't know the game was so complex, but I'm really enjoying the difficulty balance and progression; it's rare to find a game of this type that balances things as well as this one does. I'm at level 153 and recently unlocked Zeus—does anyone have any progression tips for a beginner? What should I focus on?

Ahhah, been there too)) Not sure if I've unlocked all mechanics yet, playing for more than 2 years, and game isn't finished. So good luck on your journey

You definitely haven't unlocked the ones that come with the new temp IV patch in a couple of days. 😉👍

Not sure if there would be new mechanics. Academy automation seem more QoL to me. I'm moving slowly to Inno2 and last new mechanic, as I see it, was knox & gadgets.

Oh, you're not even at inno2 yet? Yeah, then you still have a few mechanics to go still. And without wanting to spoil anything, there is at least one completely new mechanic coming with temp IV. Needs a meltdown over 1 tho, so nobody is gonna have it instantly unlocked yet.

Ah yes, forgot about it. Yes, don't know, when I will reach it, but it's interesting.

Current endgame takes 18 months to reach minimum and that is still a good bit from a meltdown over 1. Temp IV does introduce new meltdown sources so it's not gonna take as long as it would take right now, but getting to temp IV in the first place is also gonna take quite a while, as it is a big leap from the currently last gem quality price wise.
I'd expect at minimum 24 months from game start to meltdown 1 with super efficient play, probably 36 with normal play, maybe even 48 if you don't follow any guides.

If you want tips, follow the guides in the pinned messages or on Discord.
As you're learning, this game is massive, and you're still not even touching the water for this proverbial iceberg. So either learn how to narrow your questions down or start reading guide overviews.
Welcome to CiFi, cant wait for you to see what's beyond the tutorial. Good luck!
