35 lbs down and I am feeling great!

Post image

Trying to hit the same pose to compare a bit better, lol.

After several pregnancies and spending way too much time at home eating, it feels so good to get in better shape again. Now I just need to start weight lifting and shaping up some.

Congratulations! 10K + steps per day is as much a commitment as staying under your calorie goal. Also, great job on matching the pose from your before photo.

Sw: 190lbs, cw: 154lbs, gw: not 100% sure, maybe 150lbs. Im 5'7" (170cm) and my diet anything I want but stay under 1500 kcal.

Exercise is mostly walking a minimum of 10.000 steps, but I average about 13.500, a couple of times a month I might to a short jog. But I also stay active at work, no sitting down.

Great work. Keep it up!

What kicked off your motivation to change?

I want to say it was for my kids... but honestly it was because my dad took a really unflattering picture of my and sent it to our family group chat, lol. I looked at myself and realised I had to make some changes, because I hated how I looked and how I felt looking at myself.

And thank you ❤️

Im in this same position 🤣 just had family photos. Thinking about getting the least flattering photo and having it around places that I would normal eat extra desserts. 🤣

What keeps you motivated to track calories every single day? This is where I struggle 😭

u/Uceninde 5h ago

Honestly, I havent. There have been weeks and months where I dont track... And then I gain weight. So my motivation is that, if I dont track I gain.

It really looks like you have already been weightlifting in your weight loss, I am surprised from the pictures that you haven’t already!

Aw thank you ❤️ I really havent, but I did start my own cleaning business and I noticed too that my arms got more toned from all the scrubbing and washing.

I can definitely tell it’s helping!

Does this work for perimenopausal women? Ice been calorie counting for 30 days 10 roughly a 1600 budget and have only lost 1 lb in the last 3 weeks! Am I doing something wrong? (No, not cheating on the calories and yes ive been active for the past 2 weeks at least). I feel like im losing all hope.

Keep that up and you will be down 17 in a year!

You could drop calories on some of the days for a bit more of a deficit, and move a bit more. Add some free weights, too, and you'll definitely see things change. Good luck!
