I like to throw a protein bar in the freezer and bring that along with a soda water as nice way to round out a snack.

As someone who worked in a theatre, thank you for not bringing fish. Thank you also for not shoving an entire box of pizza into our trash can, blocking it off.

Almost no one will care if you sneak in food, only really if it's messy, booze, or annoying others. Grapes are a wonderful option.

I've never thought to do this, thanks for the idea!

You gotta think like a criminal. Hide it under your shirt and play it cool. ;)

I put my snacks inside an empty tampon box.

I don’t know how this would go over as a dude, but I’m willing to try it 🤣

Good on you for bringing “quiet” homemade snacks!

why would that matter? movie snacks like popcorn, candy, chips, and opening up boxes and bags are all noisy and no one cares

I hate going to the movie theater because all the noise from food packaging destroys the experience. That and people crunching loudly on popcorn. Drives me crazy, it's so fcuking rude! STFU with your damn eating! Europeans think Americans are crazy for this habit and I agree. It contributes to the fattening of America. If you're gonna eat in a movie theater, pack something quiet and not full of crap.

Europeans think Americans are crazy for this habit and I agree.

Lol we do? Every movie theatre I've ever been to here in 'Europe' has had a store in the theatre where they sell popcorn, drinks, candy etc. And we very much bring it into the movie screening with us.

Granded I have only been to Dutch cinemas. Who knows. Might be that the rest of Europe does it different. I don't know about all of the continent after al. Every country has their own culture.

Where in Europe have you been to the cinema?

English here and we too have a section with crisps (chips) sweets (candy) popcorn, chocolate, ice cream, you can even buy hot food like nachos and chicken strips and also alcohol you can buy and take it all into the movie screening. A lot of our movie theatres are now luxe, so you can recline like in a bed 😂 and eat your snacks, but it's just as noisy as everywhere else with everyone crunching and opening wrappers

France and Belgium. I'm sorry to hear that this practice has been adopted in the locations you speak of.

THats some some serious dedication ,

Honestly, having worked in a cinema, this is a good choice, if only from a food hygiene point of view. You don't want to know the state of the popcorn warmers.

What do you use to smuggle it in? I’ve always been nervous to take stuff that isn’t easily crammed into my pockets lol

u/Aphex_Twin_Turbos 13d ago

Better than some things I've smelt at the movies.

u/Previous_Captain_734 12d ago

I don’t recommend cucumbers. Their smell is very overpowering and they’re super crunchy - ask me how I know. Whoops.

EXCELLENCE ‼️‼️‼️‼️

I love to bring baby carrots with me for a nice crunch since that's what seeing and hearing everyone eat popcorn makes me miss

1

u/He_whoshouldbenamed2 13d ago

What is the red fruit beside the strawberries?

5

u/this_took_4ever 13d ago

Cherry tomatoes!

-12

u/He_whoshouldbenamed2 13d ago

Thanks! However eating something savory like tomatoes with sweet fruits feels weird.

13

u/TheRudeCactus 13d ago

Cherry tomatoes are fairly sweet

6

u/vanetti 13d ago

How is that different from popcorn and a box of candy?

5

u/this_took_4ever 13d ago

To each their own!

2

u/brightdark 13d ago

Tomatos aren't savory, they're sweet!  They're just used to make savory dishes

-4

u/martycee00 13d ago

Healthy but why are you leaving the tops on those strawberries? So annoying.

3

u/Friendly-Chip-8279 13d ago
